The Domestic Disasters Displacement (3D) intervention focuses on disaster evacuation, displacement, and resettlement experiences.
This intervention is designed to help case managers, school staff, mental health professionals, and volunteers address the issues, reactions, and interactions that children and families are likely to experience in the process of evacuation, displacement, and resettlement.
The intervention describes the characteristics of the displacement experience, explores issues related to resources and systems of care for displaced populations, provides information on the mental health impact of being displaced, and details specific issues that may arise in a community hosting displaced people.
